岡本喜八『斬る』から学ぶ｜反骨精神を動画企画に活かす視点
「斬る」は1968年に東宝から公開された岡本喜八監督の時代劇映画です。山本周五郎の「砦山の十七日」を原案にしており、第23回毎日映画コンクール美術賞を受賞しました。この作品は俳優・地井武男の映画初出演作としても知られています。 物語は天保四年(1833年)、空っ風が砂塵を巻き上げる上州の小此木領を舞台に展開します。そこに二人の男がふらりと現れます。一人は「やくざの源太」と名乗る男で、実は二年前に役目上で親友を斬り、武士を捨てた兵頭弥源太（仲代達矢）。もう一人は田畑半次郎（高橋悦史）で、百姓に厭気がさして田畑を売り、武士になろうとしている男です。
