ジョージ・ルーカス（1944年生まれ）は、20世紀後半から21世紀にかけて映画業界に多大な足跡を残したアメリカの映画監督・プロデューサー・脚本家である。彼のキャリアは1960年代後半に南カリフォルニア大学の映画学科で学生映画を制作したことから始まった。卒業後の1969年、友人であるフランシス・フォード・コッポラと共にサンフランシスコに映画制作会社「アメリカン・ゾエトロープ」を設立し、初の長編監督作となるディストピアSF映画『THX 1138』を1971年に制作した。
