カメラが引き起こす現実－原一男式ドキュメンタリーの挑発と倫理

1972年、日本のドキュメンタリー映画界に衝撃が走った。障害者の日常と本音を赤裸々に描いた『さようならCP』が公開されたのである。監督は原一男。当時27歳の新鋭監督が放った処女作は、それまでの日本ドキュメンタリーの常識を根底から覆すものだった。障害を持つ人々が街頭で詩を朗読し、時には全裸になって抗議する姿を、原のカメラは容赦なく捉えた。観客は否応なく、社会の周縁に追いやられた人々の存在と向き合わされることになった。
